We are looking for Data Managers (two positions)
PROGRAM: Setting Pathways for Inclusive and Resilient Urban Growth of Anjar
Hunnarshala Foundation has partnered with Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan and Setu - two other organisations based in Kutch, to implement a program in Anjar city towards empowering the marginalised of the city. This is envisaged to be done in close collaboration with the Anjar municipality. The program will organise the Street Vendors, the Slum dwellers, and the Migrant Workers towards ensuring their social security, housing, vending zones, and that the basic services are provided. A city plan for climate resilience will also be integrated into the Development Plan for the city. Towards this Hunnarshala is building a team, for which you are encouraged to apply. The program will be for five years. All the positions are to be based in Anjar city in Kutch. The required position are as follows -
 
Job Title: Data Manager (two positions)
The broad role will include managing and analysing project data, ensuring the effective implementation of data-driven strategies for sustainable urban development. They will provide real time support to the municipality and the program coordinator to ensure the communities at the focus of the program are being supported. The position is based in Anjar, and for five years.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement a comprehensive data management system to collect, organise, and analyse project-related data – including city level data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
  2. Collaborate closely with the program coordinator and other team members to identify key data requirements and develop data collection tools and methodologies tailored to the project's objectives.
  3. Conduct regular data quality assessments and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  4. Provide technical support to project staff and stakeholders in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, facilitating evidence-based decision-making and project planning.
  5. Generate comprehensive reports, data visualisations, and presentations to effectively communicate project outcomes and impact to various stakeholders and funding organisations.
  6. Develop and maintain databases, and data documentation protocols, ensuring the efficient storage and retrieval of project data.

Qualifications and Skills:
  1. A degree in Planning, Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics or a related field; or a relevant experience and interest in data analysis and visualisation, with a relevant work experience of atleast three years.
  2. Proven experience in managing and analysing large datasets, preferably in the context of urban development, environmental sustainability, or public policy.
  3. Proficiency in data management software and tools, including database management systems, statistical software, and data visualisation platforms.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights and recommendations.

Annual Remuneration: About Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 6 lakhs (inc. all)
