We are looking for a Program Coordinator - this position is currently fulfilled.
PROGRAM: Setting Pathways for Inclusive and Resilient Urban Growth of Anjar
Hunnarshala Foundation has partnered with Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan and Setu - two other organisations based in Kutch, to implement a program in Anjar city towards empowering the marginalised of the city. This is envisaged to be done in close collaboration with the Anjar municipality. The program will organise the Street Vendors, the Slum dwellers, and the Migrant Workers towards ensuring their social security, housing, vending zones, and that the basic services are provided. A city plan for climate resilience will also be integrated into the Development Plan for the city. Towards this Hunnarshala is building a team, for which you are encouraged to apply. The program will be for five years. All the positions are to be based in Anjar city in Kutch. The required position are as follows -
 
Job Title: Program Coordinator
Should have a strong background in public policy, social work or urban planning to lead and oversee the transformative urban development and climate resilience project in Anjar. Prior experience of collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and driving sustainable development initiatives in urban communities will be required. The position is based in Anjar, and for five years.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the implementation and coordination of the project activities, and with all the stakeholders including municipality, state government, organisational partners, consultants, communities, as well as the funding partner.
  2. Ensure adherence to the set project objectives, the implementation framework, and accordingly the activities.
  3. Ensure adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints (finance management) of the project; and monitoring of the overall progress.
  4. Capacity building of the municipality in setting up required committees as per the law, as well as in preparation of various proposals for the state government. Also, assist them in their implementation.
  5. Work closely with the marginalised communities in the city to ensure their meaningful participation in the project and facilitate their access to essential services including housing.
  6. Organise conferences, consultations, coordination meetings, city-level events etc. as required by the project.
  7. Report to the funding partner and the steering committee of the project.

Qualifications and Skills:
  1. A degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Management or a related field, with a relevant work experience of atleast five years.
  2. Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in the areas of urban development, climate resilience, or community empowerment.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders.
  4. Proven leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and inspire team members and stakeholders toward achieving project objectives.
  5. Sound understanding of climate-related issues, urban planning principles, and social development frameworks.
  6. Familiarity with government policies and regulations related to urban development and environmental sustainability.
  7. Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and presentation skills to effectively communicate project outcomes and impacts to diverse audiences.

Annual Remuneration: About Rs 7 lakhs (inc. all)
