We are looking for a Urban Planner/Climate Expert
Expected to work on inclusive and resilient urban plans using ground-up participatory process with the communities and other stakeholders, and oversee its inclusion in the Development Plan. The position is based in Bhuj, and for two years.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Creation of a city-level baseline, including a climate risk assessment.
  2. Preparation of an inclusive and resilient urban plan of the city, informed by the climate risk assessment.
  3. Presentation of the proposed urban plan to the city stakeholders including notable citizens and municipal body, the communities of interest, town planning department and assist the city town planner with its integration with the Development Plan.
  4. Coordination with relevant government authorities including Area Development Authority, Town Planning Department, Municipality, and concerned state government departments & nodal agencies.

Qualifications and Skills:
  1. A Master’s degree in Urban Planning or Climate Change, with two years of work experience.
  2. Well versed with GIS and other mapping tools.
  3. Experience of preparing climate resilience urban plans.
  4. Comfortable in preparing reports in English.

Annual Renumeration: About Rs 4.5 lakhs to Rs 6 lakhs (inc. all)
